‘Visualist, those who see beyond’ opens the first day of Seminci Transmedia

22/10/2019.- For the second year in a row, the Seminci Transmedia section will feature the most innovative technological proposals in the film industry format-wise. The first of the three days began, on Tuesday, October 22, with the Spanish premiere of the documentary Visualist, those who see beyond by Manuel Cid and Pedro Pantaleón.

After the screening, Pantaleón took part in the round table entitled “Transmedia creation: new narratives and languages ​​connected to audio-visual art” organised by Seminci and chaired by Virginia Díez, promoter and co-director of the Valladolid Creative Commons Film Festival (ccVAD). The director was also accompanied by documentary producer Óscar Testón-Otu, who is also the creator of the digital magazine Vjspain.Com; Patricia Domínguez Larrondo, head of the Medialab-Prado AVLab, and Pedro Alhuerto, promoter of the Visual Dual Club Art Festival and member of Espacio Tangente, an independent cultural centre located in Burgos.

Thanks to Xperiencia Virtual, which sponsors the cycle again, this edition features a few immersive fiction proposals that range from documentary, surrealism, and horror films to dystopia or animation. Seven virtual reality short films from the US, Puerto Rico, France, Mexico, or Spain, which have already taken part in festivals such as Sundance, Tribecca, Cannes, or Sitges, among others, will be screened over the next few days. bit: LAV will also screen a series of projections which aim to offer new ways of understanding film creation.

Fulldome

To finish with, two multiple and international screenings will take place in the Planetarium of the Science Museum at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, including seven 360-degree films especially designed for vaulted spaces such as the planetarium.
