15/10/2020.- Spain’s Women Filmmakers Forum will be hosted by the Valladolid Festival for the fourth consecutive year. The event provides a critical space for discussion with a finger on the pulse of a sector pushed to reinvent itself day by day and where women acquire ever greater prominence. Under the title “The challenge of teaching cinema”, the Forum will be held on 24 and 25 October and will focus on the presence and role of women in the teaching of cinema across all educational settings.

The participants in the event, including Belén Bernuy, Nuria Aidelman, Belén Funes, Marta Nieto, María Luisa Ortega, Marta San Vicente, Patricia Ferreira, Laura Bermejo, Eulalia Iglesias or Mercedes Miguel, will start from a previous report prepared by Concha Gómez to then delve into the current situation and address the future challenges they face. A document of conclusions will emerge from the two scheduled work sessions and will be released at a press conference on Sunday. This will be followed by a round table open to the public in which all the professionals invited to the meeting will participate.
