Josefina comes from a conservativeprovincial family, whereas Amalia lives in the now run-down Hotel Termas, owned by her family, where she lives with her mother, Helena and her uncle Freddy. Following a chanceencounter between Amalia and Dr Jano, who is a guest at the hotel, Amalia announces to her friend Josefina that she has at last found a mission to complete: to save a single man.
