Three contemporary women dancers aim to create a choreography that explores the limits between normality and madness and invite three women diagnosed with mental disorders to share their creative process with them. They all stay in a house in the Basque Country to attend rehearsals together and discover what a psychiatric diagnosis implies. They talk about drugs side effects, delusions and suicide. But also about loneliness and friendship. Without prejudices. In a human journey that breaks taboos about madness.
Marta Espar has been a scriptwriter and health science journalist for 20 years. With a degree in Clinical Psychology and Journalism, between 2007 and 2011 she worked in the health section of national daily ‘El País’ and in the newspaper ‘ARA’. She is the author of several books of interviews and, together with Marc Parramon, she scripted and co-directed the documentary ‘Veus contra l’estigma’ (2017). Maiol Virgili is a documentary and series filmmaker with more than 20 years of experience in the sector. Trained as a camera operator and editor, in 2007 he began his path towards filmmaking with ‘A pagès’, ‘Séniors’ and ‘Rurals’. ‘Propietarios de sueños’ and ‘RAR, la força del torró solidari’ are the most recent ldocumentaries to engage his collaboration.
