Leah is a young, affluent YouTuber with filmmaking aspirations, seeking authenticity on the streets of Brixton with her camera. It’s there that she meets Benji: handsome, shy, and a resident of the infamous Barrier Block housing project. Despite the different worlds they inhabit, after capturing him through her lens a connection deepens between them, but their relationship with each other, and with the growing gaze of the camera, leads the pair of them down a dangerous path.
Darragh Carey is a freelance ad creative and writer-director based in Dublin and London, he graduated from The London Film School. In 2017 he wrote, directed and script edited with Bertrand Desrochers short films like ‘Canot Camping’, ‘Get the Funk Out’ and ‘The Holt’ before shooting ‘A Brixton Tale’ (2021), his first feature film. He’s also developing two more feature-length screenplays. Bertrand Desrochers is a writer-director. He is a filmmaking tutor for Wapikoni Mobile and a freelance director. His work as a filmmaking tutor at a Quebec comprehensive school inspired ‘Aquin’, his first feature-length screenplay, produced by Unité Centrale and financed by the SODEC.
