She was born in Seville in 1981. A senior technical officer in Audiovisual Production, she graduated in Audiovisual Communication and earned a diploma in Creative Documentary Filmmaking. She is currently the director of IberoDocs, Scotland’s Ibero-American Documentary Film Festival which she founded in 2013. To date, IberoDocs is the only documentary festival in Edinburgh and the only platform for Ibero-American culture in the country. This year the festival celebrated its seventh edition, fully consolidating itself on the Scottish cultural agenda. Her first feature as a director, ‘El oasis del pastor’, was selected for participation in the 44th Atlantic Film Festival – Alcances 2012, in addition to winning the award for Best Foreign Documentary at the 2013 FIC Puebla International Film Festival.
