Cuba, November 1871. First-year students at Havana’s Medical School are imprisoned on unjust charges, but only eight of them will suffer an unexpected outcome. For sixteen years Fermín Valdés Domínguez, a friend and a cellmate of the victims, has struggled to prove the innocence of those young people. Now a new clue has led him very close to discovering the key that can unravel the hidden truth.
