A creative documentary about a young lady using the magic of LARPing (live-roleplaying) in order to cope with her family problems. Haunted by her childhood traumas, Veera, 25, is trying to help her mentally disabled brother Ville, 29, to become more independent through live-role-playing. As she guides the brother through the world of multiple roles and identities, witches and wizards and medieval knights, she finally finds the courage to face the demons of her own past; namely their abusive father.
He was born in Vratza (Bulgaria) in 1978 and studied Engineering at the Technical University of Rouse. In 2003 he moved to Helsinki in order to study Film, and five years later he directed his first documentary Family Fortune (2008). Rules of Single Life (2011), his first feature-length, bagged the award for Best Documentary at the International Film Festival of Sofia. His following films were Soul Food Stories (2013), Love & Engineering (2014) and Once Upon a Dream. A Journey to the Last Spaghetti Western (2015). In 2017 he took part in the Time of History Section with his documentary The Good Postman.
