Bárbara Lennie to act as “Godmother” for the 63rd edition of Seminci

10/10/2018.- Madrid-born actress Bárbara Lennie will officiate as the “Godmother” of the Valladolid Festival’s 63rd edition and will therefore read the letter by the Festival’s director Javier Angulo in the course of the Opening Gala that will take place on 20 October. Lennie has remained closely involved with Valladolid’s “Film Week” —a festival which programmed six of her films between  2010 and 2016: Every Song is About Me (2010), by Jonás Trueba; Orange Honey (2012), by Imanol Uribe; Childish Gameo (2012), by Antonio Chavarrías; Dying Beyond Their Means (2014), by  Isaki Lacuesta; Stella Candente (2014), by Lluís Miñarro; and The Furies (2016), by Miguel del Arco.

Lennie will also appear in the 2018  Valladolid Festival as the lead actress in Ramón Salazar’s Sunday’s Illness and Jaime Rosales’s  Petra. The prolific actress, who made her acting debut at the age of 15, is the recipient of ceaseless distinctions, including a Goya award (2014) for Magical Girl and a Feroz award (2017) for María y los demás.
