Eloísa Solaas presents her feature film ‘The Faculties’ showing in the retrospective on Argentinian cinema

Argentina’s cinema has been one of the highlights in the 66th edition of Seminci, with an entire slice devoted to Argentine films: “Wild Stories, Extraordinary Tales: Two Decades of Argentine Cinema”.

This Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:00 p.m., the Valladolid International Film Festival hosted the screening of the documentary feature The Faculties as part of the special retrospective dedicated to this year’s guest country. The screening took place at the Broadway venue and was attended by the film’s director, Eloísa Solaas.

“I think the opportunity to present the film here is fabulous,” said the Argentine filmmaker to the theatre audience before expressing her gratefulness for the big turn-up at the film’s screening .

Released in 2019, The Faculties shows undergraduates from several degrees preparing to face the most difficult time of the year, the final exams. Everyone of them uses their own resources to tackle that most disturbing moment: the oral presentation, which is the most common evaluation procedure at Argentine universities.
